Today-- Highs across the state will be in the mid 80's with only a very slight chance of a late day storm in far western Ohio. Otherwise, sunny skies statewide.Monday-- Highs will range from the mid 80's in the north to near 90 in southern Ohio. A better chance of rain* exists on Monday, with the greatest threats in central and northern parts of the state.
Tuesday-- **HOT** This will be the first day of our heat wave with temperatures in the low 90's for the central and southern parts of the state and mid to upper 80's in the north. Heat index values could approach or surpass 100 in central Ohio and could approach 105 in southern Ohio. The rain* chances are still there statewide, but shift north with the most widespread coverage.
Wednesday--**HOT** Day two of the heat wave. Same temperature forecast as Tuesday, but rain chances will increase across central and southern Ohio. Northern Ohio will likely receive the most rain this week which should keep the heat down.
Thursday--**HOT** Day three of the heat wave with temperatures staying in the 90's in the central and southern parts of Ohio and mid 80's north. Central and Northern Ohio will have the best rain chances* Thursday with Southern Ohio still looking at isolated thunderstorms.
Friday--Temperatures will start to get closer to normal by this time with low to mid 80's from northern Ohio to central Ohio and upper 80's south. Thunderstorm chances* still remain highest from central Ohio northward.
Saturday-- Temperatures statewide fall to the low to mid 80's with isolated thunderstorm* chances statewide.
