Severe Storms Possible Today
There is a severe weather threat today across all of Ohio wight he greatest threat from central Ohio northward. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out, however, the main threat will be damaging wind with hail possible. There are a few storms starting to pop right now in the unstable air ahead of a more developed line of storms in lower Michigan, Northern Indiana and Illinois. Any storm that pops up ahead of the line will be capable of hail and damaging winds, but if the line holds together, a more widespread damaging wind threat will occur. the timing on the line of storms will likely be late afternoon into the evening. Right now the storms are producing very frequent lightning and will continue to do so as they move south and east. I will update later if a watch is issued or any warnings in Central Ohio.
