What a Pattern
This summer has already been a series of temperature swings with brief hot spells followed by prolonged cool downs. As we start the final weeks of July, the pattern will hold with a few hot days followed by much below normal temperatures. After every warm period will come a chance of storms as the cold fronts move through to knock out the heat. This Week
The first of these cold fronts will come on Wednesday. Tuesday will feature highs in the low 90's with heat indices in the upper 90's to possibly 100 degrees. Wednesday will be a wet day with the potential for severe storms and heavy rains. Thursday will be the first of the cool days with highs only in the 70's when our normal highs should be in mid to upper 80's. Highs will remain below normal through at least Monday. The European model is suggesting a significant cold spell sometime next week, so we will have to watch for further information on that forecast.Climate Change?
Now I'm not going to claim that I know all the answers, because I don't, but I would like to challenge everyone to use common sense when it comes to what the media reports about "climate change". If one just takes a look at the information they are being told, holes in the data can be found everywhere. An example of this is NOAA's (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) global temperature data.
As you can clearly see, BOTH of the poles, central Africa, areas north of Japan, northeast of Australia and a large chunk of the southern Pacific Ocean are missing data all together!!! Also, notice the ridiculously low resolution of the map. This is 2014, we have temperature data far more accurate than what is displayed here and it is all to skew the look of the global temperatures. I also find it interesting that the poles are conveniently left out when they are both experiencing large amounts of sea ice and far below normal temperatures.
